Mastering
The final step. Taking a finished mix and finalizing it for release. Using EQ, compression, and limiting to bring each recording to its full potential.
Subcat began as a mastering studio, and there are several things about our process that separate us from other studios in the area.
We use outboard equipment by Manley, GML, Cranesong and others during the mastering process. We listen on dedicated ATC 100 monitors specifically for use in mastering. For those seeking that analogue sound, a Studer A810 tape machine is available to use in the signal chain.
For home recordings, Subcat's mastering services can be a great resource for putting the finishing touches on your project and making it sound as good as can be. |
